Coming off of a string of success for its “Fearless Girl” campaign, McCann New York named Devika Bulchandani as president.

Bulchandani, previously managing director at the agency, will report to Chris Macdonald, president of McCann North America, who, in turn, took on additional responsibilities, including leading all of McCann Worldgroup’s ad agencies.

“Devika has been instrumental in helping lead the New York office by ensuring that our clients are able to take advantage of the complexities of the marketing ecosystem today and, along with Chris Macdonald, by building a diverse and creative culture in the office,” McCann Worldgroup CEO Harris Diamond said in a statement today.

Diamond also announced that Suzanne Powers’ role was recently expanded under the title of global chief strategy officer of McCann Worldgroup. Powers is now responsible for integrating all strategic competencies across McCann Worldgroup’s units, which includes leading strategy groups from analytics to social and digital.

“The success of the McCann New York office, as I’m sure most of you are aware, has been driven by great creativity powered by insights and a terrific business leadership team,” Diamond wrote in an email to employees Monday.

“These promotions and expanded role responsibilities recognize the track record and abilities of these people,” Diamond added.

McCann New York’s iconic “Fearless Girl” campaign for State Street Global Advisors, which took Wall Street by storm in March when it debuted in Bowling Green Park, won five top Grand Clios nods last week—in Branded Content, Events/Experiential, Innovation, Out of Home and Public Relations. This summer, the campaign took home four Grand Prix at Cannes Lions. McCann New York also received Agency of the Year for the work.
