Huge has tapped Fura Johannesdottir as chief design officer, a role that’s been vacant since Derek Fridman left for Work & Co earlier this year.
Based in Huge’s London office, she’ll begin her new role at the IPG agency on Feb. 3, reporting to global CEO Pete Stein, and will be responsible for the agency’s design leadership across its 13 offices.
Johannesdottir most recently served as chief design officer of the experience practice at Publicis Sapient across EMEA. She initially joined Publicis Sapient in 2017 as vp and executive creative director. Before her stint at Publicis, she spent more than 10 years at R/GA, where she held several creative roles.

Throughout her career, Johannesdottir has worked with brands including Nike, Volvo, Walmart, Samsung, H&M, Heathrow Airport, B&O, Luxottica, Galeries Lafayette, Akbank, Turkcell, Carrefour and Amplifon.
