Global Ads Head Carolyn Everson Leaves Facebook After More Than 10 Years

Another longtime high-ranking Facebook executive is out the door as Carolyn Everson, vice president of the company’s global business group, revealed her departure after 10 years and four months in a Facebook post Wednesday. (Adweek)

Her exit comes after Facebook chief revenue officer David Fischer, to whom she reported, previously announced that he would be leaving toward the end of 2021. (Variety)

Everson spent more than a decade at Facebook, helping the social media company build relationships on and off New York’s Madison Avenue and grow into a global ad behemoth. Ad revenue accounted for $84.2 billion of Facebook’s nearly $86 billion of revenue last year. (WSJ)

Everson was a liaison to big marketers during major controversies involving Facebook, including a boycott last summer of the platform by major advertisers. (CNBC)
