AMD Calls Agency Review

BOSTON–Advanced Micro Devicees has placed its consolidated global advertising account into review through consulting company Select Resources International.

The client said in a statement that spending will be $25-30 million, though domestic spending has been shrinking of late, clocking in at $12 million in 2000 and less than $5 million through August of 2001, per Comeptitive Media Reporting.

Boston’s Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos has handled the U.S. account of the Sunnyvale, Calif., semiconductor maker for six years; Publicis, London, works for AMD in Europe.

“In particular, we are looking for expansive creative ideas that can be leveraged internationally across multiple communications disciplines,” said AMD corporate branding director Bob Kennedy.
