Thursday night, the Cleveland Browns won their first game in nearly two years, beating the New York Jets 21 to 17. As promised earlier this summer, Bud Light was on hand to celebrate the end of the Browns’ losing streak, unlocking the Victory Fridges it placed at stadiums and bars across Cleveland.
“The Browns have shown a lot of heart over the first two games of the season so it was only a matter of time until they would pull off an epic comeback win like this,” said Andy Goeler, Bud Light vp of marketing, in a statement.
Goeler continued: “Bud Light couldn’t be more thrilled for the Browns and the city of Cleveland as they savor the taste of this long awaited victory. This fan base has stuck beside their team through it all so we’re happy to supply some celebratory beers from the Bud Light Victory Fridges that are now unlocked. We hope Browns fans have a blast celebrating this victory … Dilly Dilly!”
Bud Light unlocked the fridges, which stocked beer with the Cleveland Browns logo on them, shortly after the team beat the Jets. The brand had team members as well as the Bud Light Knight on hand for the win, which was the Browns first win since 2016.
