Canadian I-Network Purchases Ant Farm

ATLANTA Nurun has acquired Ant Farm Interactve in an effort to broaden its capabilities and strengthen its position in the U.S. marketplace, according to the shop.

Montreal-based Nurun said that the acquisition is part of its global development strategy. The interactive agency’s client base spans North America and Europe, and with the recent transaction, Ant Farm will serve as Nurun’s Atlanta office.

“We are very proud to welcome Ant Farm Interactive’s experienced professionals to Nurun, said Jacques-Herve Roubert, president and chief executive officer of Nurun. “It allows us to expand our integrated marketing services to our clients.”

Nurun maintains offices in Toronto, Quebec City and Ottawa, Canada; New York; Detroit; Paris; Milan, Italy; and Barcelona, Spain. Its client roster includes companies such as General Motors, MTV Europe, IBM and Club Med, according to the shop.

Ant Farm was founded in 1999 and specializes in interactive marketing strategy, corporate image development, strategic planning and interactive advertising. The State of Georgia, Earthlink, Equifax and Sun Trust are among its clients.

The shop will continue to operate as Ant Farm Interactive and will be headed by Michael Koziol, chief executive officer. Melissa Honabach also will remain as the shop’s chief operating officer.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
