Childress Moves to Ogilvy PR’s Healthcare Team

BOSTON WPP Group’s Ogilvy Public Relations has hired Katharine Childress as an executive vice president at its New York health and medical practice, the agency said.

“Kate Childress’ expertise will prove to be an essential resource for the entire Ogilvy PR network,” said Kate Cronin, managing director of the global health and medical practice, in a prepared statement. “Her diverse background and fresh perspective will increase the creative momentum and growth that Ogilvy is experiencing.”

Childress joins Ogivly PR from Omnicom Group’s Fleishman-Hillard, where she served as a senior vice president and partner in the agency’s healthcare group. Throughout her PR career she has work with a variety of clients including AstraZeneca, Ocean Spray, Abbott, DuPont, BASF and Kodak.

“The energy, creativity and passion for results is evident here at Ogilvy PR,” said Childress. “I am excited to be a part of this growing, dynamic healthcare team.”

Childress holds a bachelor of arts degree in English from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.
