Fashion Firsts for T.G. Madison

AmericasMart, Int’l. Design Guild Sign On
ATLANTA–T.G. Madison Advertising acquired two fashionable accounts last week, adding some $5 million in new billings.
The Atlanta agency landed a pair of local companies, AmericasMart Atlanta and The International Design Guild.
The former is a marketplace for apparel and home furnishings, with three interconnected sites in downtown Atlanta totaling more than four million square feet of merchandise and services. Retailers use the center as a wholesale source.
Atlanta incumbent Fletcher Martin Associates did not participate in what the client’s senior vice president of marketing, Mike Turnbull, called “a low-key review.” Pollak Levitt & Nel Advertising and Freebairn & Company Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations, both of Atlanta, talked with the client, but there was no formal pitch, he said.
The International Design Guild, an association of more than 80 independent U.S. decorative flooring showrooms, picked T.G. Madison over Match here as its first agency. Its first assignment is to develop a national print branding campaign and a new corporate identity.
“These wins broaden our category experience,” said agency president and chief creative officer Virgil Schutze. K
