Grey Crafts New Company

Grey Global Group, New York, has opted to consolidate its multiple digital media service businesses–MediaCom Digital, and Beyond Interactive–into a new company called Beyond Interactive, a MediaCom company. The new business launches with $266 million in global Internet billings and will encompass 21 countries.

According to company reps, the new Beyond Interactive will be run by former Beyond Interactive CEO Jonn Behrman, who will now serve as president and COO of the combined company. Harvey Goldhersz, formerly president of MediaCom Digital, will serve as chairman and CEO. Online, the company will offer digital media planning and buying, e-mail marketing and creative, campaign optimization and ROI measurement. Additionally, it will offer offline media planning, campaign integration and event planning.

“We have seen a growing demand for truly integrated media approaches that combine these new digital services with today’s increasingly complex offline media solutions,” said Alec Gerster, CEO of MediaCom, which represents $10 billion in media placement. “The convergence of these skill sets is inevitable.”
