TBWA/C/D Vet to Run Shop With Siltanen
LOS ANGELES–After nearly 20 years as a pirate, Pam Keehn is becoming a captain.
Worldwide account director on Apple Computer at TBWA/Chiat/Day, Keehn is leaving the agency to become president of a new shop founded by former Chiat colleague Rob Siltanen.
The agency, formed two months ago and now dubbed Siltanen Keehn, is in contract negotiations for three undisclosed dot.com accounts, according to Siltanen.
Keehn said the time was right to leave TBWA/C/D.
“Rob is the right partner, and I’ve had a wonderful career here for 19 years,” she said. “I’ve accomplished everything I can. After worldwide account director, the only thing you can move up to is president.”
Siltanen said he couldn’t ask for a better partner.
“In my 10 years at Chiat/Day, Pam was the smartest and most talented account person I ever worked with,” he said. “She brings so much to the process, and has a wonderful understanding and respect for the creative product.”
While at TBWA/C/D, Keehn was involved with some of the agency’s most noted work, from the Pizza Hut “People” campaign to various Nissan efforts to Taco Bell’s talking Chihuahua.
Siltanen Keehn plans to open an office in Santa Monica, Calif., and expects to hire about 15 people over the next month.
Keehn said she will wrap up her work at TBWA/C/D over the next week, and will be on board at her new agency Jan. 17.
