Omnicom DAS Launches Global Healthcare Shop

BOSTON Omnicom’s Diversified Agency Services group said it has launched TogoRun, a global communications practice focused on healthcare.
TogoRun is essentially a rebranding and expansion of CPR Worldwide, a healthcare boutique agency already in the DAS portfolio.
Longtime CPR exec Kathy Hyett (pictured) becomes president of TogoRun, while CPR svp, senior partner Lauren Letellier has been named New York managing director. Jennifer Wilson, formerly of Athena Medical PR and Roche, will serve as managing director of operations in London.
“Our fundamental operating philosophy is to provide faster, nimbler services with an emphasis on creativity and impeccable delivery,” said Hyett. “We will represent clients in the U.S., U.K. and EMEA region from day one. Balancing creativity and compliance across dozens of regulatory geographies is a distinctive strength of the firm.”
Added Tom Harrison, CEO of DAS: “TogoRun occupies a distinct position for clients seeking both the staff experience of a full-service agency and the customized service offering of a healthcare boutique.”
In keeping with DAS’ specialization in below-the-line services, the new shop will offer advocacy relations, consumer health communications, product launches, opinion leader development, PR, event management and Web development.
The shop explains its name thusly: “The firm’s name was inspired by the 1925 Nome Serum Run, when a diphtheria epidemic threatened to wipe out the frontier Alaskan town. As sled dogs raced 1,000 miles to deliver serum from Anchorage, an undersized Husky named Togo led his team farther and faster than any other. Today, this race to save lives is memorialized in the annual Iditarod.”
