The kids shop goes for a mix of fun and education to create the toys and packaging that come with chain restaurant meals

Who Bob Cutler, CEO, C3

What Family and kids marketing agency

Where Overland Park, Kan.

C3 stands squarely at the intersection of food and families, creating toys, place settings and packaging for restaurant chains seeking to bond with children. The business began 25 years ago with a kids' meal calendar assignment from Sonic. Today, the shop employs 48 staffers, has global reach and makes an estimated $40 million in annual revenue from the likes of Sonic , Arby's and Darden Restaurants. Scrutiny of kids marketing has intensified since Bob Cutler started the business in his Overland Park, Kan., home. But to him, the basics haven't changed: Create experiences that bring kids and parents close together.
