Latest Muppets Spoof: ‘The Pig With the Froggy Tattoo’

Enjoy yet another parody trailer

The Muppets can spoof True Blood and keep it clean, so it stands to reason they can tackle the R-rated Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of the legendary crew (Beaker!) star in this latest trailer parody—a favorite Muppet genre of late—that advertises their Thanksgiving movie and shamelessly/seamlessly rips off the sexy trailer for David Fincher's Americanized thriller. (The U.S. version of Dragon Tattoo will hit theaters at Christmas.) Dubbed The Pig With the Froggy Tattoo, there's no visible ink or piercings, punk-rock girls or violent assaults in the ad. And like its inspiration, no dialogue. Just visual slivers of what's to come in The Muppets flick—Jason Segel and Amy Adams, big song-and-dance numbers, and cameos by Neil Patrick Harris and Sarah Silverman. Those are set against bold block-letter messages that tell us, among other things, that there's a tie-in soundtrack album. Who can begrudge the Muppets a little extra shilling? They're so adorable! See if you agree.
