2018 FIFA World Cup Russia is in the books, and Facebook saw more than 2.3 billion related interactions from 383 million people during the monthlong tournament, while there were more than 115 billion impressions of tweets (views on Twitter) during the same time period.

The top five moments on Twitter during the tournament, measured in tweets per minute, were:

  1. Kylian Mbappé scores to give France a 4-1 lead over Croatia in the final match.
  2. Philippe Coutinho scores in extra time to give Brazil a 1-0 lead against Costa Rica.
  3. South Korea defeats Germany 2-0.
  4. The final whistle in France’s 4-2 victory over Croatia in the final match.
  5. The final whistle in Belgium’s 2-1 win over Brazil.

Twitter shared its top social moments during the championship game earlier this week.

The top social moments on Facebook during the final match were:
