The Binary Mill Releases Mini Motor Racing WRT on iOS

Mini Motor Racing WRTThe Binary Mill has released Mini Motor Racing WRT on iOS devices. The sequel to the original Mini Motor Racing features miniature cars and top-down arcade racing gameplay, as users race around 30 tracks in multiple gameplay modes, including an RPG-inspired career mode. This career mode allows users to build and upgrade a variety of vehicles, each suited for one of four track conditions (street, off-road, etc.).

In the game’s career mode, players complete level-based races, each with their own minimum objective for completion. One may ask players to place in the “Top 2” of a circuit race, for instance, while another may see players trying to complete a specific number of laps before running out of time.

During each race, players steer using a wheel on the left side of the screen, while the vehicle accelerates automatically. Each vehicle has a nitrous bar, which refills automatically over time, and players can trigger this nitrous using a button on the right side of the screen.

After each race, players receive rewards including experience points, coins and other items (XP boosts for vehicles, coupons for purchasing new parts, etc.). Players also receive a letter score, based on their performance.

Coins and car XP cards can be used to upgrade existing vehicles, while coupons are used to purchase parts for new vehicles. While sticking with, and upgrading just a single car might seem preferable, each car has a different racing specialty, and therefore shouldn’t be used in all of the game’s events. An off-road pickup, for instance, isn’t a wise choice for a street race.

In addition, players can spend their coins on boosters before each race. For example, a “Nitrous Supply” boost gives players an automatic 20 percent boost of their nitrous total at the beginning of each new lap. It’s also worth noting that vehicles consume gas during each race, so players may need to spend coins to fill up the tank before heading back out onto the track.

As players level up, they’ll unlock additional gameplay modes, including League, Challenge and Race Club modes. Users will also unlock achievements as they complete specific in-game tasks, which reward them with coins and trophies. Trophies serve as the game’s premium currency, and can be used to unlock higher quality vehicles than those available with coupons.

Mini Motor Racing WRT is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store. The game is coming soon to Google Play and the Amazon Appstore.
