Condé Nast Eyeing Digital Acquisition

As Condé Nast completes its move into One World Trade Center, the media giant’s CEO Chuck Townsend took time to speak to The New York Post about a wide variety of subjects. One item that stood out? The company is on the prowl for a digital acquisition.

After dismissing any news on the print front, Townsend explained, “What we are really focusing on is a very solid digital acquisition strategy. Businesses that can really help us grow in generating digital audiences or services to digital audiences.”

As for Townsend himself, he insisted that he intends to be with Condé for a long time. “My contract runs for two-and-a-half years,” said Townsend. “It’s renewable. My health is good, and I love the business.”

Then, just in case you don’t believe him, he added “I am not going anywhere.”
