Did you know that Facebook allows you to transfer a copy of the photos and videos you’ve shared to the social network to Google Photos? Our guide will show you how this is done.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the Facebook application on iOS.

Step 1: Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Scroll down and tap “Settings & Privacy.”

Step 3: Tap “Settings.”

Step 4: Scroll down to the “Your Facebook Information” section and tap “Transfer a Copy of Your Photos or Videos.”

Step 5: Enter your Facebook password and tap “Continue.”

Step 6: Tap the “Choose Destination” drop-down menu.

Step 7: Choose Google Photos and tap “Done.”

Step 8: Tap “Next.” Note: If you want to transfer your videos instead of your photos, tap the “Photos” drop-down menu and select “Videos.”

Step 9: The Facebook app will load Google’s website, where you can login with your Google account information.

Step 10: After you login, Google will ask you if you want to give Facebook permission to add content to your Google Photos library. Tap “Allow.”

Step 11: Tap “Allow” to confirm that you want Facebook to be able to add content to your Google Photos library.

Step 12: Tap “Confirm Transfer.”

Facebook will begin the transfer process, and you’ll receive a notification when all of your photos or videos have been successfully copied over to Google Photos.
