Facebook is testing a way for publishers to add a 'breaking news' label to their posts.

Facebook confirmed that it is testing a way for publishers to add a “breaking news” label to their posts.

The Next Web director of social media Matt Navarra shared a screenshot of the feature via tweet:

A spokesperson for the social network confirmed the test, saying in an email to Social Pro Daily, “We are working on a small, future test that would enable news publishers to identify and label their posts with a ‘breaking news’ indicator. Further details will be shared when the test is launched.”
