Locked out of your Facebook account? You may soon be able to use something you carry with you at all times to get back in: your face.

Social media researcher Devesh Logendran shared a screenshot with The Next Web director of social media Matt Navarra of a facial-recognition recovery feature from the social network, and a Facebook spokesperson confirmed that the feature was being tested.

The spokesperson said via an emailed statement, “We are testing a new feature for people who want to quickly and easily verify account ownership during the account recovery process. This optional feature is available only on devices you’ve already used to log in. It is another step, alongside two-factor authentication via SMS, that we are taking to make sure that account owners can confirm their identities.”
