Facebook Marketing Solutions posted a timeline cover photo contest. Winners receive free time in the spotlight amid a space watched by going on one million fans who like the page.
The entire exercise promises to educate all of us as to what works best in the cover image space, while giving the winner a free promotion. Note, however that the rules exclude illustrations and pictures that already appear as a page’s cover image. Read on for Facebook Marketing Solutions‘ call for submissions:
We want to feature YOUR business as our cover photo. Please send photos that capture your business and/or customers interacting with your brand to email@example.com by April 6, 2012 and stay tuned to see if your business is featured on one of our upcoming cover photos. Please include the link to your Facebook page and a short description of your business with your photo submission.
A few things we are looking for:
-Photos, not images (ex. a shot of your place of business, you interacting with a customer, creating your product, etc.).
-Creativity! Show us why customers love your business.
-Originality! Avoid sending your page’s cover photo. Send something fresh that captures your business in a different or new way.
All submissions are governed by our terms (https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms). By submitting your photo, you grant Facebook permission to use your photo for all purposes, including marketing and promotion. You also confirm that you have all rights necessary to grant this permission, including from all subjects in the photo and the person who took the photo.
