Facebook Watch: Here’s How to Hide an Ad While Watching a Video

Stop seeing advertisements you're not interested in

Facebook Watch creates a list of videos for users to view Facebook

While watching videos on Facebook Watch, Facebook’s destination for watching videos, you may see ads you’re not interested in. Our guide will show you how to hide an ad that plays while you’re watching a video on Facebook Watch.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the Facebook application on iOS.

Step 1: Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the ad you wish to hide.

Step 2: Tap “Hide Ad.”

Step 3: Tap either “I don’t like ads in videos,” or, “I don’t like this ad,” to tell Facebook why you chose to hide the ad. If you tap “I don’t like this ad,” you’ll have the option to give Facebook additional feedback about the ad.

Step 4: If you tapped “I don’t like this ad” in Step 3 above and you also want to provide extra feedback about why you hid the ad, tap “Help Us Understand What’s Happening.”

Step 5: Tap “It’s not relevant to me,” “I keep seeing this” or “It’s misleading, offensive or inappropriate” to leave feedback about the ad you’ve hidden.

If you tap “It’s misleading, offensive or inappropriate,” you’ll be able to report the ad by choosing from multiple options, such as “It’s offensive,” “It’s spam” and “I disagree with it,” among others.
