Forbes Mobile Reader Debuts for BlackBerry

Apparently recognizing that consumers are increasingly turning to their cell phones to get their news, has unveiled a Mobile Reader. Powered by Handmark, the Mobile Reader is initially available for the BlackBerry. It’s set up to automatically deliver headlines and updates from the home page as well as the site’s markets, business, personal, finance, entrepreneurs, technology, life, opinions and leadership channels. Once the full articles are downloaded to the handset, they can be read offline.
Users can customize the free app to include tabs for their stocks to watch, their most-used keywords and their RSS feeds.
The reader can be downloaded for free from using any BlackBerry Web browser. Over the next few months, the reader will be available for a variety of Windows Mobile and J2ME-based handsets.
