Back in April George Watsky, one of YouTube’s most popular (not to mention extraordinarily fast) rappers, issued a challenge to graphic designers and video folks to help him make “the ultimate YouTube video.” He issued the challenge on The Ellen Show half a year ago and this week his dream became a reality. YouTuber Jorge of CyberToons uploaded ‘The Ultimate YouTube Video’ just days ago, as envisioned by George Watsky, and it truly is a sight to behold.
‘The Ultimate YouTube Video’ has it all, from George himself rapping super fast in his bedroom to a cat playing the harpsichord, a flash mob, RWJ, Shane Dawson, Kassem G, Smosh, Mystery Guitar Man, Shay Carl, Kanye West rickrolling Obama, quintuplets in space, Snookie, and Charlie Sheen (#winning!).
The video is a crazy meditation on the strange world of YouTube and the weird things that we’ve all become obsessed with. Watsky closes the piece saying, “Somewhere on the Internet a teenage pop singer is failing, a kid is getting hit in the face by a soccer ball ricochet, and an animal is acting more hilarious that it would in its boring, natural habitat, and for some reason I can’t look away.”
Check out the CyberToons video below, followed by Watsky’s challenge on the Ellen show back in April and let us know what you think. Is this really the ultimate YouTube video?
