The Hollywood Reporter, a sister publication of Inside Facebook, has teamed up with Facebook to launch the TV Obsession Index, a weekly ranking of the most buzzed-about TV shows on Facebook.

Facebook has been working to open up its data treasure chest to media sites, and this is the latest way that the relationship has progressed. Every week, The Hollywood Reporter will release a list of the top 10 most talked about television shows, according to Facebook mentions.

Janice Min, Co-President and Chief Creative Officer of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group, discussed the partnership in a post on The Hollywood Reporter:

Facebook is at the center of the TV conversation as we all share, comment and like our way through a great season premiere or a crazy series plot twist. With the launch of the TV Obsession Index, The Hollywood Reporter will offer fans the most incisive look into the data to reveal which shows, newcomers and talent are driving the most chatter and engagement.

The TV Obsession Index will appear every Wednesday on, and in print in THRmagazineClick here for the first post.
