Jeff Wellington Returns to Meredith to Head Parents Network

He'll oversee 'Parents,' 'American Baby' and 'Family Fun'

After leaving Meredith for brief stint as vp and publisher of Scholastic Parent & Child, Jeff Wellington is returning to his former employer as vp and group publisher of the Meredith Parents Network, which includes Parents, American Baby and Family Fun magazines.

From 2009 to early 2011, Wellington had been the publisher of Meredith’s ReadyMade, a small, DIY shelter title that appeared on Adweek’s 2010 Hot List but was shuttered several months after Wellington's departure.

Wellington will be responsible for advertising sales of the Parents Network on all platforms, including print, tablets, social media, and mobile. The group’s former vp, Brian Kightlinger, was recently promoted to vp of corporate sales of Meredith’s National Media Group.

Wellington has spent much of his career in the family category, having also acted as president and group publisher of Time Inc.’s Parenting Group (now part of Bonnier Corp.) from 1998 to 2007. Additionally, he was vp and publisher of Reader’s Digest, and has worked for GQ, Cosmopolitan and Spy.
