LinkedIn Wednesday announced several features to help its members enhance their posts on the professional network.
Captions can now be added to videos in order to provide more context, as well as to help users who are viewing them with the sound off.
To add closed captioning, video creators should click the video icon in the share box on desktop to choose the video they wish to share, and then click the edit icon in the top right to see video settings. Clicking “select file” enables them to add the associated SRT (SubRip Subtitle) file.
Users can now highlight quotes from articles on LinkedIn and share them directly with their networks in their feeds.
Users who are interrupted while composing posts now have the ability to save drafts of those posts and finish up later. The option can be found by tapping the X in the top left corner of the post.
Originally announced late last month, translation of posts in more than 60 languages is now available, and the See Translation button is being rolled out across desktop and mobile.
Finally, LinkedIn added a Me tab as a shortcut on desktop to take people to all of the posts they’ve shared, articles they’ve written and videos they’ve uploaded.
