People who love to cook also love to share recipes, and a new service makes it easy. The new service uses Facebook and is sponsored by Foodily. It makes it easier for food lovers to express what they think about food, discover more about their friend’s tastes, and share their recipe adventures with friends.
Over half of Foodily’s users already share recipes with their Facebook friends via the Foodily app. Now, unlike any other company in the food category, Foodily provides a whole new way for people to connect around everyday cooking events. I am getting hungry just thinking about it.
With this new deep integration on Facebook, people will not only get updates on what their friends are liking or sharing, but also see comprehensive wall posts about the foods their friends are craving, making and recommending.
It is pretty delicious on how the socializing works for food lovers. On their walls, Foodily users will have recipe images, source information, and customized lists that showcase all of the recipes they’ve explored and found using the recipe network.
It’s a unique way for people to connect around cooking and learning new recipes with the friends in a pretty darn good platform. Andrea Cutright, CEO of Foodily agrees, “We’re honored to be participating in the initial roll out of features that take advantage of these new Facebook capabilities.”
The Foodily app on Facebook also allows people to follow popular topics including dietary requirements, celebrity cooks and popular chefs. All Foodily content, including related posts and friends’ comments, are streamlined in an easy-to-read Facebook feed, making the online experience more personal and relevant.
