TVNewser: MSNBC has shelved plans for a new 10pmET show to follow Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. Asked if he had anything to do with postponing the plans, Olbermann said, “No, I didn’t have anything to do with it and honestly, I don’t think anything in the time frame of this process has changed.

NY Magazine’s blog Daily Intel published and quickly deleted a piece “Now That’s Something to Salute,” on First Lady Michelle Obama’s booty. An excerpt via HuffPost: “This morning President Obama departed for the G20 summit in London and a week of other meetings around Europe, his first visit since last summer’s epic charm offensive. As he boarded Marine One, Obama returned the salute of the marine standing guard … we think. It also looks like Obama might just be blocking the sun’s glare as he checks out Michelle’s booty.” And the apology: “As you know, bloggers work in a hurry, and occasionally items go up that are not in the best taste. In this instance we decided the best solution was to take the post down.”
Politico’s John Harris via Baltimore Sun on how the traditional path for young journos is vanishing: “For people who are just plain worker bees and are pretty good, I don’t find [journalism] an appealing career… I just don’t see why somebody would go into the business unless they thought they could be an A at something.”
In light of the G20 in London, British vs. American media.
