Nexon and This Game Studio announced the release of Oz: Broken Kingdom on iOS and Android. The role-playing game introduces players to Ophelia Shen, a young girl who joins Tin Man, Lion and Scarecrow on a quest to defeat an evil darkness and save the land of Oz.
In Oz: Broken Kingdom, users will complete level-based battles as they travel through the land of Oz. In each turn-based battle, players can spend a limited number of mana points on each turn to activate their characters’ abilities, which are found on cards.
As players complete battles, they will collect items such as Essence (the game’s free currency) and crafting gems. These base crafting gems can be turned into special gems that can be equipped to heroes to improve their stats. For instance, one gem may increase a hero’s health.
Users can also collect extra ability cards over time, and they can equip their characters with different abilities to suit their play styles. Users can upgrade their ability cards to make them stronger by collecting the required numbers of duplicate cards.
In a statement, Scott Blackwood, founder and head of product at This Game Studio, commented:
In Oz: Broken Kingdom, we’ve not only reinterpreted the land of Oz but expanded its lore. Players will explore a new take on Oz, one brought to life with stunning detail and brimming with fierce enemies at every turn.
