MTV’s Video Music Awards Sunday night dominated among series and specials for the week, with 13.34 million total interactions across Facebook and Twitter, dwarfing second-place WWE Monday Night Raw on USA Network, which tallied just 567,000.

And preseason National Football League contests accounted for eight of the top 10 sports events by total interactions, with Thursday night’s visit by the Dallas Cowboys to the Seattle Seahawks topping the list at 1.972 million. David Cohen is editor of Adweek's Social Pro Daily.
