Throughout its existence, Congress has notoriously been an old man’s game — with the current average age at 58 and 80 percent male comprisal. However, 30-year-old Elise Stefanik, the newly sworn in Republican representative from New York, seems to be breaking that mold.
Glamour’s February issue will feature an interview with the youngest woman ever to join Congress. Stefanik opened up with executive editor Wendy Naugle on a number of different topics, including her campaign for Congress, guidance from Representative Paul Ryan (R–Wis.), and her desire to be a standard-bearer for women in politics.
The new issue of Glamour will be available beginning Jan. 13, but if the anticipation is too much for you, the interview is currently available at Glamour.com.
