Roll Call: C&W, Workhouse, 20th Century Fox, and More

Cohn & Wolfe has announced three executive changes. Brooke Hovey was promoted to EVP of the digital practice in the Americas, a new position. She’ll be responsible for accounts across North America and Latin America based out of Austin, TX. She was previously MD of that office and SVP of the practice. Also in the digital area, the firm has hired Brad McCormick as EVP, MD of the Austin office and senior digital strategist. He was previously EVP and global digital director at Porter Novelli. And Katy Kelley has been named VP of global marketing and communications responsible for promoting C&W’s reputation in the digital arena. She was most recently VP of corp comms at Ruder Finn. According to the executive announcement release, the firm’s digital business has experienced a “double-digit growth” in the past 20 months.

Workhouse PR has added actor Matthew Modine to its roster of clients. As AOR, the firm will work on publicity for Modine, his projects, and charitable causes. Modine is known for his roles in Full Metal Jacket, And the Band Played On, and a number of theater and directorial roles.

Cristina Mancini has been named SVP of worldwide marketing at Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution managing all international marketing programs including corporate communications, marketing, and PR. Previously, she was VP of marketing, publicity, and promotion for the company.

Heather Hopkins has joined Qorvis Communications as MD working with defense clients. Hopkins joins from the U.S. Army in the Office of the Chief of Public Affairs at the Pentagon where she was director of strategic comms. She also held a number of positions during the George W. Bush administration.

Strategic Brands on Fire, a legal PR firm, has hired Angela Daniello as VP of client services. She will work with business development, client social media programs, and other PR activities. Previously, she was the director of marketing communications for Discovery Mining.
