After a limited release in select territories, OpenWager and win2day’s social casino game, Spintopia, has launched on mobile devices worldwide. The game mixes slot machine play with a quest system, as players are led through a magical theme park by the game’s guide, Amy Aviatrix. Users have multiple slot machines available for play, and can engage with other players via integrated social features.
Players have access to eight slot machines, ranging from an arctic machine populated by penguins to a fantasy forest machine, a medieval castle machine and more. Gamers can customize their experience in each game by changing their total bet amount for each spin, and can also toggle auto spin, allowing the game to keep spinning automatically for a designated period of time, without further input from the player.
Each machine has achievement “pins” to unlock by receiving certain symbols on the reels, and players will be encouraged to play specific machines to complete the game’s quests. One quest may ask players to spin at least once on all of the game’s machines, while another may ask them to use a specific power-up on a specific machine, and so on.As players complete these quests, they’ll receive rewards like those power-ups and coins. Power-ups may offer players double the amount of earned experience points or coins for one minute, or activate free spins on a specific machine, as examples. Players can also purchase these power-ups directly with real money.
For social features, users can send free gifts to their friends, or send private messages to other players.
“We are excited to partner with win2day in bringing Spintopia to life. The new branded social casino conveys the most compelling gaming experience players have ever enjoyed,” said John Cahill, CEO at OpenWager, in a statement. “We strongly believe this unique offering will empower win2day in building a social-mobile revenue stream and maximizing their brand loyalty among slot enthusiasts.”
