Disney’s Club Penguin received its latest content update, accessible on the Web or through the Club Penguin applications on iOS and Android. The update marks the first time Star Wars content has been made available in the app, as players can complete quests and interact with characters from the Star Wars Rebels TV show.
In this intergalactic update, the world of Club Penguin has been transformed into Lothal, the home planet from the Star Wars Rebels television show. Players will be challenged to fight the evil Empire by taking quests from Ezra Bridger, Zeb Orrelios, Hera Syndulla and Kanan Jarrus, who live aboard the starship Ghost. By completing these quests, players will receive Star Wars Rebels-themed items.
Additional themed outfits, furniture and igloos can be purchased from the game’s store. To be specific, players will be able to dress up in Star Wars-themed outfits like Agent Kallus, Vizago, R2-D2 helmets (for puffles) and more.
As part of this event, players will be able to earn different Lightsabers, which come with moves users can activate during “epic duels.” Once players have proven their worth to the crew of the Ghost, they’ll take on the Inquisitor as the climax of this event.
The Star Wars event in Club Penguin will run until Feb. 4. Club Penguin is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
