Snap Inc. creative strategy lead Leah Rubin-Cadrain said in an email, “The CW has an excellent track record with superheroes, and we’ve loved creating a moment for such an iconic character as Batwoman. It has strategically leveraged Snapchat’s AR technologies, from AR on tattoos and landmarks to letting fans send the bat signal and wear the hero’s mask. Fans everywhere can bring Batwoman to life in their own worlds leading up to the premiere.”

The CW senior vice president, marketing and media strategies Caty Burgess added, “Snapchat’s AR technology and user base provides us with unique advertising and marketing opportunities to reach Generation Z and millennials. Its users are a key demographic for us, and we know they’re going to love Batwoman. The lenses are a perfect way to let people experience the show firsthand, before it premieres this Sunday.” David Cohen is editor of Adweek's Social Pro Daily.
