No upset here: The Super Bowl LIII champion New England Patriots and runner-up Los Angeles Rams dominated Facebook, Twitter and Instagram during the weekend of the Big Game.

The Patriots swept likes and comments across the three social networks, also topping Facebook and Twitter in posts, while the Rams scored the most growth on the three platforms and had the most Instagram posts, according to social marketing firm Unmetric.

Unmetric analyzed all 32 teams in the National Football League on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram from Feb. 1 through 4, using its cross-channel reports, and it also found that:

  • The Kansas City Chiefs led engagement on Facebook and Instagram, while the New Orleans Saints did so on Twitter.
  • Once again, there was no change in the audience size leaders for the three social networks, as the Dallas Cowboys topped Facebook while the Patriots paced Twitter and Instagram.
