Trust the Process: Philadelphia 76ers Soar on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram in February

The West Coast was the best coast among National Basketball Association teams on social media in February, as the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers dominated likes and comments on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the month.

According to social marketing firm Unmetric, the Warriors had the most likes on Facebook and topped likes and comments on Instagram, while the Lakers led in Facebook comments and likes and comments on Twitter.

Unmetric examined its cross-channel reports for all 30 NBA teams from Feb. 1 through 28, and it also found that:

  • The Philadelphia 76ers showed why fans should trust the process, leading Twitter in growth and Facebook and Twitter in engagement.
  • The Houston Rockets led in Facebook growth, while Instagram was paced by the Dallas Mavericks.
  • The Rockets also had the most Facebook posts in February, while the Milwaukee Bucks were the top tweeters and the Denver Nuggets were the most prolific club on Instagram.
  • The Lakers continued to top Facebook and Twitter in audience size, while the Warriors did so on Instagram.
