Twitter: Here’s How to Copy the Link to a Tweet on Mobile

Follow our guide to copy a tweet's URL on mobile

Did you know the Twitter mobile application allows you to copy the link to a specific tweet so that you can share it with others outside of the app? Our guide will show you how this is done.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the Twitter app on iOS.

Step 1: Tap the arrow icon in the top-right corner of the tweet you’d like to share.

Step 2: Tap “Share Tweet via …” Note: If you’re on Android, you won’t need to complete this step.

Step 3: Tap “Copy Link to Tweet” to copy the tweet’s URL to your device clipboard. From there, you can share this URL by pasting it into a text field in the app(s) of your choosing. Note: This menu may also contain a button for the app you’d like to share the tweet to (like Messages or Facebook). If this is the case, simply tap the app’s button, instead of the “Copy Link to Tweet” button, to share the tweet in that app.
