What happens in Vegas stays on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as the Vegas Golden Knights led all National Hockey League teams in engagement across all three social platforms in September, and the league’s newest member also posted the most growth on Facebook, according to social marketing firm Unmetric.
Unmetric examined its cross-channel reports for all 31 NHL teams from Sept. 1 through 30, and it also found that:
- The Chicago Blackhawks had the largest audience size across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
- The Calgary Flames posted the most on Facebook, while the Montreal Canadiens were the top tweeters and the most prolific club on Instagram was the Detroit Red Wings.
- The Red Wings topped Facebook in likes, while the Golden Knights did so on Twitter and the Toronto Maple Leafs on Instagram.
- The Red Wings also tallied the most comments on Facebook and Instagram, while the Twitter title went to the Nashville Predators.
