WhatsApp: Here’s How to Turn On Screen Lock on iOS

WhatsApp added a feature called Screen Lock to its iOS application, which users can turn on to add an extra layer of security to their app experience. With Screen Lock turned on, WhatsApp will require the use of Touch ID or Face ID to unlock the app, depending on the user’s device. Here’s how to turn on the Screen Lock feature.

Step 1: Tap “Settings” in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap “Account.”

Step 3: Tap “Privacy.”

Step 4: Tap “Screen Lock.”

Step 5: Tap the toggle next to “Require [Face ID or Touch ID]” to turn on Screen Lock.

Once you turn on Screen Lock, you’ll be able to choose how long the app will wait before requiring the use of Touch ID or Face ID to unlock WhatsApp again after the app is closed.
