With Accenture’s Entry, Social Media Jumps The Shark

Okay, okay, we’re only somewhat joking. But with Accenture’s launch of the Accenture Enterprise Social Media Innovation Center, an initiative “intended to help clients use social media capabilities more effectively for their business purposes,” you have to admit that social media is no longer exactly cutting edge. Accenture employs more than 100,000 people, after all.

The headquarters of this new initiative will be at the Accenture Technology Lab in Silicon Valley, ZDNet reports. It looks like the consulting giant hasn’t yet posted any jobs, but we’d be surprised if they didn’t, so keep your eyes peeled.
