Leading by example

Katie Couric may be best known for the 15 years she spent as anchor of NBC’s Today show. But since departing the No. 1 morning show in 2006, Couric has gone on to anchor the CBS Evening News, host her own syndicated daytime TV show, and create an eponymous production company. The award-winning journalist has been a longtime advocate in the fight against colon cancer, and is the founder of Stand Up to Cancer which has raised more than $600 million and contributed to six new FDA approved drugs for various cancers.
