NBC continues to dominate in the Sunday public affairs show race.
Per Nielsen data, Meet the Press with Chuck Todd was the top Sunday show across the board on April 14, marking the show’s tenth straight win in total viewers and 63rd straight win in the A25-54 key demo.
Sunday’s first-run broadcast averaged 3.35 million total viewers and 804,000 A25-54. The program led ABC’s This Week by +23% (+629,000) total viewers, marking the broadcast’s 43rd straight win over ABC in total viewers. The program also led ABC by +25% (+163,000) demo viewers.
Season-to-date, MTP is the No. 1 Sunday show across the board, delivering its best total viewer lead over ABC in seven years and CBS in eight years.
An additional 841,000 total viewers and 207,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.
CBS’ Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan and its CBS Sunday Morning lead-in were preempted by final round coverage of the Masters.
ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos finished in second place across the board.
Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace on Fox delivered 1.41 million total viewers and 410,000 A25-54 demo viewers. The cable replays drew a combined total of 2.33 million total viewers and 388,000 demo viewers. Altogether, that’s 3.74 million total viewers and 789,000 demo viewers on April 14.
